Eva's Riverbanks Zoo Class

I've been taking Eva to a zoo class at Riverbanks Zoo about once a month now for two years. The programs are outstanding and the teacher is excellent. She's had the same teacher both years, which is very nice.
-
So this last class was "Spots & Stripes" or as Eva says, "Spots & Stripeys." Besides learning about the animals, usually touching a live animal, doing & turning in homework, the kids always do a craft, too. Today's craft was to paint their own stuffed animal with spots & stripeys.
-
Eva chose a li'l fish and painted her stripeys.
After class Eva wanted to go to the aquarium part of the zoo and find a fish like hers. What fun!
-
We bypassed all the snakes and gators and turtles, making a bee-line for the fish. It took awhile, but finally, we found it! Amazing, isn't it? It looks just like hers. We were very, very excited.

So the next step, naturally, was to enter her fish into the hall of fame on the wall. The Eva Fish.

We were eventually sidetracked by this amazing spotted eel. We've often seen the notorious Riverbanks green eel, but we had never seen this fella, and how exciting to see him on our "Spots & Stripeys" day! Almost like he came out just for the party.

Thanks, Ms. Jenn, see ya on April 29 for the "A Camping We Will Go" class.

Are you getting old or was this deliberate, you've done this story. Heh heh I think old age is creeping up on you, the memory fades, the eyes fade, the hearing, sound familiar?

I love having Eva in class :) Your Eva look-a-like fish was my favorite...the Hawaiian fish of course!
